20th Portuguese Congress on Obesity

Marlene Silva discussed the facilitators of engagement in exercise promotion programs for overweight, sedentary men at the 20th Portuguese Congress on Obesity (November 19). More details about this conference HERE.

Marlene Silva participated as a keynote in the Scientific Meeting of the Portuguese Society of Sport Psychology (November 24), discussing good practices in scaling up interventions from experimental settings. The EuroFIT program was used to illustrate several key issues and the potential role of football clubs and their resources as facilitators of health behavioral changes at the community level. This past weekend, on December 3rd, Pedro Teixeira presented the project Keep on Running: Exploring Running Behaviors in Individuals and Groups, on the VII Running International Congress. The congress was integrated in the activities of the National Program of March and Race, from the Athletics Portuguese Federation (PNMC), and co-promoted by the University of Lisbon (UL).
