Natasza Marrouch

Natasza Marrouch completed her MA at NYU under the supervision of prof. John Jost, where she explored the effects of unpredictability on gender-consistent self-stereotyping. Her PhD, supervised by prof. Blair T. Johnson and prof. Heather Read at the Dept. of Psychological Sciences in UConn, explored belief systems, their change under conditions of increased unpredictability, and the neural dynamics behind these changes. She completed her postdoctoral training at UConn and Yale University where she explored neural markers of low predictability in language. Currently, she is exploring the role of language in polarizing beliefs. Her research interests include computational neuroscience, qualitative methods in psychological sciences, and the effects of psychedelics on belief systems.
